Tiger Woods to Design First American Golf Course

By Busy Door Blogger | August 14, 2007

Tiger Woods Design
Looks like Tiger Woods is working on a new character - Golf Course Design.

Reports have been saying Tiger is looking at “The Cliffs” in “High Carolina” as his first candidate for his first built golf course. Should be intersting to see if Tiger is up to Par with Golf Course design, and if the Tiger will be able to rule his own course when built.

Could it be anything like this picture of the Tiger Woods Yacht?

iPhone Nano - Is Apple for real?

By Busy Door Blogger | July 10, 2007

On my trip to New York over the long weekend a few weeks back, I was able to see the iPhone in person at the Mac store on 5th avenue. A cool device with a wow factor to get many people interested, but way too much hype. I personally tried the keyboard and am able to type much quicker on my blackberry. Maybe I’m biased, but actual keys just make more sense to me.

But this isn’t another post going over the iPhone launch. Google it and you’ll find hundreds upon hundreds of opinions on the original iPhone that came out, including how the Hackers have gotten into the system of the iPhone. What new news do I hear now? The iPod Nano may later cease to exist or have a bigger brother, the iPhone Nano.

iPhone Nano

The price talked about for such a piece? $300. Can you imagine what they will cut out from the regular iPhone to package it into the smaller iPod Nano. I’m sure with that wifi will be gone and the whole hype of the iPhone. But who am I to judge? Steve has his marketing experts working on creating yet another whirlwind of buzz. Heck, even I am writing about it.

What might the iPhone Nano look like? I came up with a little photoshopped image combining the current iPhone screen and button into the also existing iPod Nano. Will it look like my photoshop above?

Who knows?

This is just a guess, but really Apple will be able to make anything even if it is lackluster in the end and still sell huge quantities of product. I don’t see why they would even take effort making it look like my photoshop. It can look much worse and still sell.

To this I bid adieu. We will see how mac can market another product to an insane amount of hype!

Chevy Beat - Chevrolet’s Micro Concept

By Busy Door Blogger | June 21, 2007

Chevrolet concept, the Chevy Beat, was introduced at the Auto Shows this past year. With a nice hue of green and a micro compact look, Chevy would definately catch a lot of attention with this car.

Chevrolet Beat Picture 1

This car looks modified from the Factory to be a super hot compact rolling down the streets. Now I am not normally impressed by the likings of Chevy and their products, but this one definately caught my eye and would be one I would look into purchasing as a fun little car. Imagine a modified engine thrown into this little car. It would definately have the looks and the get go. Even from the factory it looks good with Green accents throughout the car.

The 17 inch wheels make the Chevy beat stand out and color matched calipers are an interesting touch.

Chevy Beat Picture 3

The concept sported a 1.2-litre engine. Now that’s Tiny! But wait… it’s turbocharged. Ahem thats a nice added bonus as a 1.2 litre engine would be super slow without some kind of boost. The facts state it will be only put with an automatic, but one can only imagine a 5 speed transmission bringing every last bit of power out from the car. I’m sure if they want to capture the tuner crowd, they will throw in a 5 speed as gearheads love the ability to control their gears. Plus for small engine cars, manuals are just better suited for the application.

Flying Alarm Clock

By Busy Door Blogger | June 20, 2007

Everyone hears their alarm clock and presses Snooze many many times before getting up. I do it every morning :) It takes about three snooze button presses before I wake up.

Think Geek has come up with a Flying Alarm Clock that will help get you away from that easy button of hitting Snooze. Now you have to get up, find the flying alarm clock piece and attach to hit snooze. By that time? Your going to be up! Then of course I’m sure we will hear of someone who got one of these and smashed the alarm clock to turn it off instead of finding the flying alarm clock piece :)

Here is the official Think Geek video from YouTube showing the whole flying alarm clock in action. Look at how Mr. lazy has to get up and move to Snooze.

Kobe Bryant Video

By Busy Door Blogger | June 19, 2007

kobebulls.gifA video of Kobe Bryant is out with him ripping on the LA Lakers! Who would have thought such a video would come available!

Apparently the owners of the web site The Kobe Video (http://thekobevideo.com/) are providing the video public for $1.99. They say a private offer of $100,000 has been made to have the video, so they are looking to get 50,000 people to buy the video at $1.99 to make up for those costs. They will only release the video when they get 50,000 people to purchase the video.

Kobe in the video is talking like with friends and not the on-camera Kobe we always see. An interesting quote is said to be about 19-year-old center Andrew Bynum.

The Lakers would not let Bynum go for the chance to get Nets’ Jason Kidd in February. Kobe in the video says as reported by the NY Times:

“Are you kidding me?” Bryant says in the video. He goes on to say, with a number of profanities mixed in, that the Lakers should “ship out” Bynum.

“We’re talking about Jason Kidd,” Bryant says. He also speaks in a derisive tone about General Manager Mitch Kupchak before the video abruptly ends.

Also from TheKobeVideo.com:

Bryant is approached with the query, “Please tell us you’re staying!”

His response: “Get a [Chicago] Bulls uniform fellas.”

And here is the preview clip as provided by TheKobeVideo.com:

Hitch Quotes

By Busy Door Blogger | June 17, 2007

Today and yesterday they seemed to play the movie “Hitch” multiple times. I watched this movie when it came out in the theatres way back when and it in my opinion was a great movie. Lots of memorable quotes provided by “Hitch” and he helped some really desperate people get together with woman far out of their league. Here’s some memorable quotes I really liked or found funny from the movie:

Movie opening quote:

Hitch: Basic Principles - no woman wakes up saying “God, I hope I don’t get swept off my feet today!” Now, she might say “This is a really bad time for me,” or something like “I just need some space,” or my personal favorite “I’m really into my career right now.” You believe that? Neither does she. You know why? ‘Cause she’s lying to you, that’s why. You understand me? Lying! It’s not a bad time for her. She doesn’t need any space. And she may be into her career, but what she’s really saying is “Uh, get away from me now,” or possibly “Try harder, stupid,” but which one is it? 60% of all human communication is nonverbal, body language; 30% is your tone, so that means 90% of what you’re saying ain’t coming out of your mouth. Of course she’s going to lie to you! She’s a nice person! She doesn’t want to hurt your feelings! What else she going to say? She doesn’t even know you… yet. Luckily, the fact is that just like the rest of us, even a beautiful woman doesn’t know what she wants until she sees it, and that’s where I come in. My job is to open her eyes. Basic Principles - no matter what, no matter when, no matter who… any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet; he just needs the right broom.

Some wise wisdom

Hitch: Any guy can sweep any girl off her feet, he just needs the right broom.

And finally the funniest part, when Hitch tries to teach Albert how to kiss Allegra and Albert moves to fast on Hitch with an open mouth kisses.

Hitch: [talking about his go 90 per cent then 10] All right show me the magic.
Albert: OK.
[going to kiss Hitch]
Hitch: [after being kissed] What the hell?
Albert: Well, you said show me the magic
Hitch: Yeah, but you go 90 then I go 10. You don’t go the whole hundred, you over-eager son of a… BLECH!

Some great times watching that movie. If you didn’t catch it, maybe there will be a rerun again of the movie. Definately check it out.

USB Missile Launcher

By Busy Door Blogger | June 15, 2007

The coolest weapons of attack for cubicle warfare has got to be the USB Missile Launcher and USB Rocket Launcher. I was told about this from a fellow coworker who was into the little gadgets offered by the ThinkGeek website.

ThinkGeek offers three versions:

USB Missile Launcher
usb_rocket_launcher.jpg

“This launcher can pivot 180 degrees horizontally, and 45 degrees up. Controlled by the included PC software, point the missiles at your foe, and press the big red shiny delicious button on screen. FOOM.”

USB Laser Guided Missile Launcher
rocket_launcher_v2.jpg

“The built-in laser missile aiming system will allow you to aim and fire your weapons with close to pinpoint accuracy!”

USB Rocket Launcher

This one has twice the range of normal missile launchers!

Check them out and get in on the cubicle fun ;)
