The Key to Getting Great Green Tea Skin Care

By Busy Door Guest Blogger | October 27, 2009

A tea that is good for you and your health is green tea. Its very true. Actually, there was a study recently where a researcher exposed minnows to extremely radioactive substances. They all should have died of cancer in days. Amazingly, they survived. What was the reason? They didn’t live in, instead they were in green tea.

Inundating minnows with x-rays may not sound so great to you. Most people probably do not like this. But, you should like the results. I’m going to start drinking gallons of green tea a day or I might bathe in it.

So many people are now realizing the healing powers that are in green tea. This is resulting in more products containing green tea and green tea extracts. You can get candies, sodas and even coffee with green tea infusions. Not to mention all the other green tea blends that are available in stores today.

But, in spite of all the craze over green tea, there is one area that hasn’t caught on. Skin care. Rumors are going around about it, but nobody seems to actually be doing anything. What people aren’t aware of is that what makes green tea excellent for you body also makes it perfect for your skin.

Green tea is loaded with anti-oxidants. Green tea will even enhance your immune system when you drink it. Those antioxidants will start working right away when rubbed on your face.

Anti-oxidants are great for the skin. They keep free radicals away from you. Free radicals are highly charged molecules in the air that “attack” skin and cause wrinkles. Free radicals have even been known to cause skin cancer.

However, green tea skin care does more than that. When green tea extracts are used in your natural skin care regimen, they will revitalize your skin. They ease inflammation and smooth out discolorations caused by the environment or using the wrong skin care products. Add a green tea product to your skincare regimen today. Whether it is a lotion, a wrinkle cream, a serum or a spritzer, you will soon be glad that you made green tea a priority in your beauty regimen.
