Over the years since the light bulb was first introduced there were many attempts to make alterations and improvements on its design and function.  One of the newest and most important enhancements to the light bulb in recent years could be the full spectrum light bulb.  Each kind of light bulb produces its own sort of light with diverse traits.  Some sorts of light are better for certain eventualities than others.   

Full spectrum light bulbs is the term that is used to refer to a sort of bulb that produces light with qualities that are like natural sunlight.  The light from a full spectrum light bulb will be seen with a bluish white tint, just like natural sunlight.  This similarity to sunlight will give full spectrum light bulbs the ability to render colors exceptionally well.   

There are many different uses for full spectrum light bulbs.  One way that they are used is to help people who are suffering from Seasonal Affective Syndrome.  These are people whose mood suffers as a result of a reduced amount of natural light during the winter time.  It has been shown that sunlight has the power to improve our mood.  When folks are encircled indoors for most of the day or get limited exposure to natural light in the cold winter months their mood can grow worse.  Full spectrum light bulbs can help galvanize workers and lift their spirits.  As well as improving your mood it is also thought that full range light bulbs can enhance your energy, behaviour, and capability to learn.   

There are many differing types of full range light bulbs available.  In the most simple terms bulbs that have color temperatures of 5000K or higher produce a light which mimics natural sunlight.  Some regular ordinary bulbs have been treated with a special coating that makes them work in an analogous fashion to full spectrum light bulbs.
