Can BCBG Shoes Flatter Everyone?
By Busy Door Guest Blogger | July 7, 2010
If you are looking for a more modern styled shoe for today’s younger crowd then possibly BCBG Shoes may have what you need.
Shoes in the BCBG collection are absolutely targeted towards a younger cool indie crowd who thrives for attention and Max Azria serves it up best. Take note, this is not your mom’s shoe.
The shoes have a more European look and flair and compliments more trendy ensembles than the toned-down everyday appearance. The majority of the collection does not fit together well with the office conservative wear and is mostly branded for the modern club and bar scene.
Made fashionable by the Hollywood and NYC Soho crowd but comes across as a super strong shoe that cannot be worn by simply anyone. This entire collection stands out and you’ll certainly be noticed and remembered.
I must say you either love or despise BCGB shoes; there in fact isn’t any in between.
What I love about BCBG Shoes:
· Young, New and fashionable and shows off tons of attitude.
· If you are hunting for that “look at those shoes…I wonder where she got those from?” then BCBG brand will be perfect for you.
What I don’t like about BCBG Shoes:
· Very little bright colors infused in the whole collection (the 2010 Paris collection supplies a few colorful additions). Sure, Black, Tan and Grey will match with anything but I crave a lot more spice in my wardrobe.
· Most of shoes have that funky toned-up vibe leaving me ready to party. Not sure if that is bad or good?
The FavoriteChoices out of All BCBG Shoes:
· Women’s Lark 1 Pump in Azalea Pink; it’s a rare find in a collection or neutral colors but after searching and searching I stumbled upon this gorgeous pink color that just popped! Can you imagine wearing this out at night?
· The Colly Bootie in Black – a shoe-bootie that has an amazing feminine feel made only for the contemporary woman. Can be paired flawlessly with a pantsuit or a cute little black dress.
But like I said, these shoes are targeted towards a certain style of woman. Now I don’t believe you can offer a positive review just by looking at a shoe; you’ve got to go out and wear it, so I did;
The couple BCBG shoes that I tried out were cut very narrow so it will not fit just any foot. If you generally wear a size 7, get a size 7.5; As soon as I tried on the shoe all eyes were on my feet. It truly has a magnetism all its own. I can’t imagine how one would feel wearing these shoes to an event – it would be the thing to talk about all night; “where’d you get them”; “how much did they cost”;
Does anybody ever inquire about how a shoe feels? Or does it actually matter?
