Playstation 3 Update 1.81
By Busy Door Blogger | June 15, 2007
Any problems ps3 gamers were having with RGB or with their HDMI cables should be gone now. Sony has issued ps3 update 1.81 to fix this problems when gamers start up their playstation 3’s. It’s a small update compared to their last 1.80 update, but should keep any gamers who actually were experiencing the problem pretty happy.
The main issue with the RGB prior to this update was that the Full Setting would sometimes change back to Limited. Sony wants to keep their ps3 gamers happy.

KTM X-Bow Prototype - Carbon Fiber Goodness
By Busy Door Blogger | June 14, 2007
I’ve never heard about KTM until I seen this. They are a motorcycle builder from Austria and they released a new roadster called the X-bow, A.K.A crossbow.
This picture just totally caught my attention of the car:

It’s super lightweight at about 1500 hundred pounds and it contains an engine designed by Audi. The four cylinder propels the roadster setting down 220 hp with an option to bump it up to 300 horses. That’s a lot of power for a car weighing 1500 lbs!
With that you can pick Audi’s smooth shifting DSG transmission. For those that don’t know what that is, its an automated clutch system transmission, so you don’t loose all that power normal torque converters do. Think same power of manual with convenience of an automatic when wanted. Of course, die hard gearheads still can pick a six-speed manual
What can it do? In 3.9 seconds KTM says the x-bow will hit 62 mph. Pretty impressive.
Some oddities for the car is no windshield. I sure wouldn’t want a rock coming flying at me while going 60 mph! But they will fix that with its own specially designed helmets.
With a base price of 40,000 euros you should see some cruising around over in euro-land. With only 500 units a year built, it will be limited so you’ll have to act fast to get one!
Here’s a little video of the X-Bow to wet your appetite:

Ferrari Theme Park To open in 2009
By Busy Door Blogger | June 13, 2007
On my visit to the NY Times web site to see what’s new in the automotive world, I found this interesting post about Ferrari. The name drawing power of Ferrari is what caught me to the article and this picture made me want to read more.

See those four cars cornering around the race track? How cool is that!
Built in the the United Arab Emirates, this theme park includes its own Formula One Race Track with a driving school included! This is your chance to see if your the next replacement for the retired Michael Schumacher! And if your lucky, maybe you will get there they do their extreme-temperature testing of the new Ferrari prototypes.
Take a look at the original article here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/10/automobiles/10FERRARI.html
And just for fun… after your day at the park you can do so much other things:
“In addition, the overall $40 billion Yas Island project will include beaches, nightclubs, restaurants, upscale stores, luxury hotels, condominiums, marinas, golf courses, polo fields and equestrian facilities.”
So who’s planning on making the trip?

Google Streets View - some funny pics
By Busy Door Blogger | June 12, 2007
For those who haven’t heard of “Google Streets View“, check out the official Google site at:
http://maps.google.com/help/maps/streetview/
The Web Specialist at Google, Ryan dresses up in a funny jump suit explaining how the whole streets view works as he goes through San Francisco. Pretty interesting that you can see cities like New York without even being there! Since I’m going to New York in about 2 weeks I definately loved this feature.
Here is Google’s screen cap of New York’s Time Square:
What Google doesn’t show you on that main link is these Streets View Funnies
Check these out and see what maybe wasn’t supposed to be captured.
Happy Googling.
